Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is an English pop singer-songwriter from London. She was the first female artist to simultaneously have two albums in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100.
Adele was the first woman in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to have three simultaneous top 10 singles as a lead artist. Her distinct voice whats makes her special. Adele was featured in the James Bond movie Skyfall. Her breakthrough song was Hometown Glory. She was only 16 at that time!! In the pop music industry, it is really impressive indeed.
Elvis Presley (Significant Pop Music Icon)
Elvis Aaron Presley is formally known as Elvis or the king of rock. He was an American singer-actor and one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century. He released his debut single, “Heartbreak Hotel”, in January 1956. It soon became a number-one hit in the United States.

The 60’s pop music and pop culture were incomplete without The Beatles. These four young musicians took the world by storm. Even after the death of most of their band members this band and the name itself is still famous even today. Above all The Beatles contributed a hell lot for the genre.

Backstreet Boys
Its almost 2020 and boy bands from all over the world, dominating social media. Considering the sudden hype of Korean boy bands and the rise of Kpop it would be a sin if we don’t include Backstreet boys in the list. The group rose to fame with their debut international album, Backstreet Boys in 1996. Needless to say, it became a huge sensation.
