When working with dry ingredients, like flour and baking powder, you are required to sift it, for this will ensure there are no lumps of powder in your mixture. It helps to make the cupcake batter much smoother when it comes to texture.

Once you are done sifting, it’s time to beat your eggs till they become smooth and creamy. Remember to beat your eggs one by one after which add milk to the egg mixture followed by vanilla essence.

Before adding your butter into the mixture, melt it in room temperature. To do that, simply heat some water in a pan, when the water starts bubbling and is hot enough (a little above room temperature) take it off the stove and put a bowl on top of it. Once everything is ready, it’s time to simply mix your butter, flour and egg mix into one bowl and stir till smooth. Do not hurry in adding the flour mixture to the butter and egg mix, take your time and add it in slowly to ensure it’s all mixed properly. Now, take a cupcake tin, you may choose a six or an eight base cupcake tin according to how many you wish to make. Butter your pan and place your cupcake liners in it after which add your mix into each base equally.

Preheat your oven to 180 degree Celsius or about 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place your cupcake tin with the batter in. Bake it for about 15 to 20 minutes to make sure that the cupcakes rise up look all nice and fluffy. Before taking them out, perform a toothpick test where you dip in a toothpick to see if it comes out clean. Before taking them out of the tin let them cool in room temperature to allow them to settle.

Once your cupcakes are ready, it is now time to prepare your vanilla buttercream frosting. Simple add your butter and salt in a bowl and mix them for two minutes until it becomes as smooth as cream. After which add your sugar and keep mixing with an electric mixer. With your frosting now ready all you need to do is to simply take a piping bag and place your nozzle in it. I prefer to use a star nozzle, but you can choose any other nozzle, you wish to use. Now Pipe your frosting on top of your cupcakes in any design you wish.
